That is why we are informing you of an important change that, as from 1 July 2026, will have a direct impact on road transport to, from, within and through the Netherlands.
As from 1 July 2026, the kilometre charge for heavy goods vehicles will be introduced in the Netherlands. This kilometre-based charge will replace the current Eurovignette system and will mean that carriers pay per kilometre driven on the relevant Dutch road network. Its impact is therefore directly linked to the number of kilometres driven in the Netherlands.

Based on this simulation, the following cost developments, among others, are calculated compared with the current situation:

What does this mean for you?
As from 1 July 2026, the Dutch kilometre charge for heavy goods vehicles will be treated as a separate cost component in your transport rates for all relevant transport flows to, from, within or through the Netherlands.
For all transport carried out wholly or partly on Dutch territory, we will apply, as from 1 July 2026, a rate increase of +6.93%, based on the impact calculated in the ITLB simulation. The applied increase will remain in effect until the end of 2026 and will be reassessed at the beginning of 2027 on the basis of the rates, indices and market conditions then applicable.
