Dear customers,
We thank you for the trust you place in Transports Dandoy for the execution of your transport assignments!
We would like to inform you of an important change to Belgian road taxes that will have a direct impact on our transport costs. As from 1 July 2026, the Belgian kilometer charge rates will be adjusted. This increase is significant, particularly in Flanders, and will therefore have a clear impact on the cost of transports carried out wholly or partly on Belgian territory.
In Flanders, the kilometer charge will increase from 0.204 EUR/km to 0.285 EUR/km, representing an increase of approximately 40%. In Wallonia, the rate will increase from 0.194 EUR/km to 0.205 EUR/km, representing an increase of approximately 6%. For Brussels, the increase is from 0.168 EUR/km to 0.171 EUR/km. On average, this represents an increase in toll costs of approximately +26% for our Belgian routes.
As road taxes are a direct and mandatory component of our transport costs, we are obliged to pass on this increase to our customers.
In order to apply this adjustment in a transparent, simple and uniform way, we will apply, as from 15 July 2026, regardless of the loading or unloading region, a general tariff increase of +2.07%. This percentage represents the average effect of the increase in the Belgian kilometer charge on our transport prices.
We would like to emphasize that this adjustment is solely the result of external and legal cost increases over which we have no influence. We remain committed to carrying out your transports in an efficient, reliable and competitive manner.
We thank you in advance for your understanding and naturally remain at your disposal for any questions or further information.
Kind regards,
Transports Dandoy
