Transport planning specialist?

As planning specialist you are managing the import and export organization of trucks (loadings and unloading abroad). This includes operational, commercial, as well as quality aspects of the service provided to our customers. You report to the operations manager and are in contact with our customers, partners, as well as other departments within our company.

Your responsibilities

Responsible for management of transportation flows (import/export) of goods for various customers. You coordinate and communicate with dispatching towards drivers

  • Organizing goods according to destinations and delivery imperatives.
  • Booking and follow-up of external carriers and transportation services.
  • Optimize truck routes.
  • Measuring profitability of planned trucks.

Responsible for operational contacts with customer:

  • Coordination and confirmation of transport orders.
  • Answering quotations and eventual customer requests on the spot.
  • Finding solutions to satisfy customers transportation needs, dealing with capacity problems, managing uncertainty and changes in planned volumes.

Your profile

You have a degree in logistics, transportation, international trade, or equivalent experience of minimum 3 years in transport planning, forwarding or expedition. 


You are familiar with road transport and have good knowledge of EU geography.

You have good interpersonal skills and a true team player, able to share problems and advice. 


You are an excellent communicator and able to work under stress in a dynamic environment. 


You are fluent in French, Flemish (Dutch), and English. Any other European language is a plus.
