1925

Since 1925, a family history at the heart of transport.
It all began in 1925, in Brussels. At a time when road transport was still in its infancy, Edmond Dandoy launched his business with just a few lorries. A visionary and a risk-taker, he was one of the few hauliers operating in the region. This unique position enabled him to rapidly expand his business from his first offices in Molenbeek.
But the story took a sudden turn during the Second World War. Edmond’s sudden death could have brought the venture to an end. But that was without counting on the determination of his wife, Marie-Thérèse, who took the reins of the company. For over ten years, she kept the business going with courage, supported by their son Jean.
1956

A new generation at the helm
In 1956, Jean Dandoy took over the management of the company and embarked on a new phase of development. Based in Laeken, and soon joined by his wife Alphonsine in the early 1960s, the company became a true family venture.
For over 30 years, the pair worked hand in hand to grow the business. Faced with a constantly expanding fleet, a further move was necessary to Chaussée de Dieleghem in Jette. Dandoy grew, and with it, its ambitions.
1977

Going global
From the 1970s onwards, Dandoy took a new step by expanding its operations internationally, particularly in France and Italy.
It was during this period that Vincent Dandoy, son of Jean and Alphonsine, joined the family business. He played a key role in this expansion, with a particular focus on France, which quickly became a strategic market. Growth accelerated, requiring new premises: new land was acquired in Jette, consolidating Dandoy’s presence north of Brussels.
In the 1980s, a new force joined the venture: Béatrice Dandoy, Vincent’s wife, who took charge of human resources and the back office.
1991

Diversification and a shift towards logistics
Under Vincent Dandoy’s leadership, Dandoy expanded its activities into warehousing and logistics. This strategic shift marked a decisive turning point.
To support this development, the company established itself at the industrial site in Mollem, outside Brussels, to ensure it had suitable storage capacity, particularly for ADR products.
In 1994, after 50 years of dedication, Jean and Alphonsine handed over the reins and took a well-deserved retirement.
2001

Controlled growth
To meet the growing needs of its customers, Dandoy continued its investments in Mollem and exceeded the 20,000 m² storage mark. A milestone that confirmed its position as a major player in logistics.
2011–2013

The fourth generation
After gaining experience in Belgium and internationally, Cécile and Xavier Dandoy joined the family business, representing the fourth generation.
Cécile took charge of human resources and finance from 2011, whilst Xavier took over the operational division in 2013. He also spearheads key projects: the digitalisation of operations, the development of intermodal transport and integration into the Astre network.
2015

Modernisation of infrastructure
Dandoy opens new offices in Mollem, complete with a high-performance cross-dock facility and a modern workshop for fleet maintenance. A key step in supporting operational efficiency.
2021–2023

Digitalisation at the service of the customer
In a constantly evolving sector, Dandoy invests in advanced technological tools to improve service quality.
Traceability and transparency become cornerstones of the customer relationship.
2025

100 years of history
A century of existence. A significant symbolic milestone.
In 2025, the company celebrates its 100th anniversary and embarks on a new management transition: Xavier Dandoy is appointed CEO.
Alongside his sister Cécile, they bring a fresh dynamic, focused on innovation, performance and the future, whilst remaining true to the company’s founding values.
2026

Committed to the future
True to its forward-thinking ethos, Dandoy is actively committed to decarbonising its operations.
This commitment has been recognised with the award of the Ecovadis medal (bronze), which recognises the company’s efforts in the areas of the environment, ethics and social responsibility.
